Marcel was a professional. His gloves looked as if a fish had swallowed his hand, as the fabric was soaked with water from the incessant rain. His hat dripped, and the feather on the back fell off, letting cold water run down the back of his neck. But Marcel didn't move, because he was lurking. His target was a young nobleman who had insulted the queen's maid. Marcel struck with the speed of a viper as the young noble staggered drunkenly out of the tavern. When the alarm spread, he had already disappeared for some time.
The Duelist's Sword from Epic Armory is part of the Vanguard line and takes inspiration from the longswords of late medieval Europe and early Renaissance swords, with a smaller crossguard and slightly thinner blade. The hilt is made of polyurethane and is highly detailed, with a grooved hilt and an ornate version of the rain guard or chappe that protects the portion of the blade near the hilt. Meanwhile, the pommel is leaf-shaped and the entire grip is in the main color with gold details. The blade is made of closed-cell polyurethane foam and colored to look as realistic as possible. Unlike most LARP weapons, the Vanguard line requires virtually no maintenance, beyond controlling wear and tear in the form of nicks or breaks.
