The Epic Armory Ranger Sword is part of the Vanguard line and takes inspiration from the knightly (or arming) swords of the Late Middle Ages in Europe. It has a curved crossguard to increase the ability to block the opponent's weapon and potentially disarm them. The hilt is made from polyurethane and is highly detailed, sculpted to appear to have a leather wrap around the hilt, with light gold detailing to make it stand out visually. The hilt ensures an excellent grip for the fighter. The blade is made of closed-cell polyurethane foam and colored to look as realistic as possible. Unlike most LARP weapons, the Vanguard line requires virtually no maintenance, beyond controlling wear and tear in the form of nicks or breaks.
